Reading
I like reading very much especially when I am alone, no matter the books of novels, magazines, or biographies, all of them are my favorite. While I am reading, I can forget all the troubles I meet and all the pressure I have. I can image I am an actress of the book and can travel in the world of book. Besides, if I am upset or depression, I also would like to read a book to unleash my emotion. I could learn how to overcome and solve the problems, due to I could find a lot of knowledge and all the answers I want thru the book. So that’s why I love reading. In the past, I usually read a new book in every month. Although, I don’t have much time to read others book recently, owing to most of my time is spend on reading textbook. I still think reading is a good habit; I must keep this habit process.

Mamma Mia
I have seen the movie of “MAMMA MIA” which the show of musical is adapted for the movie in last year. It’s one of my favorite movies, especially the songs of the movie.
The story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs propels this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship. I admired the daughter’s courage; she would like to find her own father to send the invitation letter by her mother’s name to invite 3 possible men to return to the Greek island that they haven’t visited for 21 years. Now the show of musical will be held on Nov.11th to Nov.15th at Taipei Arena.
However, it’s a pity that I don’t have enough time to see their performed in these period days. I hope I will not miss this musical show when they come back to play in Taiwan next time.

My Best Friend
Everyone needs a best friend in their life. My best friend is one of my schoolmates. Her name is Ju Yu and we know each other since we were 12 years old when we were a student in elementary school. She has a very nice personality, wonderful sense of humor, friendly and enthusiastic about helping people, everyone loves her very much and elected her be a leader of class every semester. In my images, she is the most popular person in the class. When I get depress, she always encourage me to cheer up and give my best advice.
I know I can rely on her very much. Even when our lives get busy so far, but we still make time to go out with each other. I believe that our friendship will unit forever.

Age
One day, when I talked with my college, she said “you must go to dye your hair”, suddenly. You must have a lot of pressure of the job or something, owing to you had a lot of gray hair recently. I agreed it and repeated what she said, right; I got a big pressure not only from the work, but also from the study, I was old. Then, the other one asked “Are you thirty years old”? Oh my god… thirty years old is old, and I’m going to... means I am old, surely? Why I stayed in this company? Why I came back to school to study English? Why I didn’t study hard while being a student? Many different kinds of questions emits from my brain.
For me, it is a new milestone of thirty; it reminds me that I must be a more dependant and responsibility person. I must improve the advantages of myself and enhance the ability of languages and business sills. Let’s my life substantial and significant in the future.

A Person Who Has Made a Difference: My Grandmother
My grandmother was elected one of the Exemplary Mother of her community in 2005. She lived in a small village after she married with my grandfather in 1940. Grandmother raised six children alone since my grandfather passed away, while my father was 6 years old. She made a living by selling vegetables, fruit and breeding a wide range of poultry.
After all the children grew up, she promoted and participated aggressively for Mother’s classroom in community, where the ladies can gather for learn about cooking or singing. At the beginning, most of people did not support her ideas or give any feedback warmly, but she never gave up persuading everyone to attend it. Few years later, most of women appreciated her for organizing the classroom that enriched their life. Furthermore, at her old age, she devoted to helping not only the poor but the senior citizens who living alone, as well. The community would like to express the thankfulness for her dedication, by awarding her honor of Exemplary Mother of year 2005. I deeply believe she worth to this honor.
Unfortunately, she passed away on last Dec., however she would be my most admire and most beloved grandmother in my mind.

My Favorite Festival
Lunar Chinese New Year is my favorite festival. It’s the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays in Taiwan. On the Lunar Chinese New Year Eve, all the family members are supposed to come home for a dinner and talked about what has happened during last year.
When I was a child, I love this festival very much owing to not only I can wear new clothes and new shoes, but also I can get the gift-money from the relatives. And all the children can let off firecrackers, play cards…and so on together.
However, even if some people have no respect for this festival nowadays, I still expected the lunar Chinese New Year coming, due to it’s my turn to give gift-money to my parents to thank you their take care meticulously. The most reason which I love this festival is that it is the time for families to get together.

Introducing Myself
I would like to introduce myself, my name is Miranda Lo. There are four people in my family, father, mother, younger sister & me. We live in Xinzhuang together.
Now, I am assistant for marketing manager of Machinery Company which is based in Wuku. I was an employee in this company since 2006. I love my job very well, owing to I could get a lot of experience from deal with different kinds of things in this job. Although sometimes the manager is unreasonable or emotional, that will not reduce my passion to do my job due to I told myself that “don’t let others wording knock down your faith”.
Traveling to all over the world especially to Germany, Switzerland is my dream. I have been there four years ago to attend the exhibition; I love their scenery, fresh air and life. The people are very kind and sincere. I would like to go there again and be a backpacker so that I can do anything I would like to do and go anywhere I would like to go. I hope my dream will come true in the future of years; therefore I must improve the ability of my English during these two years before I go there and be a backpacker.
