Tunisian Revolution

The 2010-2011 Tunisian revolution is an intensive campaign of civil resistance, including a series of street demonstrations taking place in Tunisia. The events began in December 2010 and led to the ousting of longtime President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in January 2011.

This issue starts from the protests were sparked by the self-immolation of Mohamed Bouazizi on December 17. After Mohamed Bouazizi dead, hundreds of young people demonstrate in front of the city hall, and they also play the video that the conflict between police and protester on facebook & youtube to everybody know it. The result of this revolution led to the ousting of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali 28 days later on 14 January 2011, when he officially resigned after fleeing to Saudi Arabia, ending 23 years in power.

For this revolution, I think that most of protesters just want to express their opinions and lead to the ousting of their President. Owing to they are not satisfied of their life, such as inflation, decayed government and they also do not have freedom of speech, so that’s why the people are so angry. I admire those protester that they are not afraid the might of government and resist with them. Finally, they are successes and their President Zine El Abidine flees to Saudi Arabia.
